Onam is a harvest festival from Kerala that celebrates community, generosity and the joy of sharing food. It’s a time for gathering, cooking, decorating with pookalam and welcoming prosperity into the year. We’re marking the occasion with a special dinner by Onehunga Head Chef Archana Kurup This celebration is close to her heart. It’s a chance for our Onehunga whānau to experience the flavours, traditions and hospitality she grew up with.
